This Weller Clinton Ivory Jardiniere depicts swans floating in a pond amongst a forest of trees and foliage in a continuous 4 panel raised relief pattern. Buttery ivory in color with a caramel brown background all in a matte finish. Bring home a lovely Arts & Crafts piece circa pre 1914 (reference, The Collector's Encyclopedia of Weller Pottery, Huxford).Rudolph Lorber, who was born and studied in Austria, was in charge of designing Weller lines from 1905 to the 1930s, and was responsible for the Flemish, Forest, Ivory, Muskota, Roma, and the Knifewood line, which this piece is from, among many others.Measures 5 1/2 high x 6-1/2 across opening at top ax 5 in diameter at bottom.
